Hi, we're Alan and Becky, and this is our little home on the web.
We are a childfree couple in our 40s who moved back to the U.S. in September 2018 after a three year stint in Dublin, Ireland, as expats. We now live in coastal New England where we are remodeling an antique colonial house built in the mid-to-late 1700s.
By day Alan is a software architect, and Becky writes romance novels. Together, we enjoy watching rugby, drinking craft beer, trying out new recipes, playing board games, and laughing at the antics of our two adorable cats, Lihue and Hanalei - named after our favorite Hawaiian island, Kauai.
This blog will be a mixture of real life updates, recipes, glimpses into our ongoing renovations (when you are the steward to a 200+ year old home, are the repairs ever really done?), and some of our travels. Thank you for joining us, and we hope you stick around.
